Three First Half Goals Propel the Wolverines to 3-1 Road Win

How it happened

The Wolverines finish off non-conference play with a win 3-1 road win against Old Westbury.

All three of the Wolverines goals happened early in the first half. The first goal by Justin John-Langba who beat the goalkeeper for an open goal.

The next goal just three minutes later by Luis Cruz off a rebound from a shot inside the box.

Kaiden Fields was able to find Cruz off a corner kick, Cruz headed the ball into the back of the net to make the game a 3-0 lead going into halftime.

Old Westbury came back from the half and quickly scored, 3-1.

The Wolverine defense was able to hold Old Westbury off the remainder of the game to take the win, 3-1.

Comments from the Coach

"Tough on the road, long journey and different surface so I am pleased with the victory and the chances we created early, but we let ourselves down in the second half. We played sloppy and did not share the ball well adn we know this and will look to improve upon it as we move to win in conference". Coach Clark

The Wolverines will head to Cabrini on Wednesday, Oct. 16th to continue with conference play. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
