MARIETTA, Ohio – The Wesley College men's basketball team were victims of a second-half comeback as they fell 91-80 to the La Roche Redhawks in the final day of the Marietta Shrine Tournament.
Evan Anderson and Brian Cameron paced the Wesley offense with 20-plus point performances. Cameron notched his first double-double of the season with a 25-point, 10-rebound effort. Anderson led all scorers with 26 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field. Anderson knocked five 3-pointers, three of which came in the second half.
Derick Charles netted 13 points and grabbed six rebounds. Brandon Lewis tallied nine rebounds, five assists, six points and three steals. Tyrone Craven dished out a game-high seven assists and added five rebounds, four points and four steals.
After the tournament, Cameron was named to the Shrine All-Tournament Team. In two games, Cameron totaled 53 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks.
Wesley (0-3) will be back in action on Tuesday when they host the Lancaster Bible Chargers in their 2018-19 home opener. The opening tip is set for 7 p.m. from Wentworth Gymnasium.
