ASTON, Pa. – The Wesley College field hockey team suffered a 2-1 overtime loss to the Neumann Knights on Wednesday.
After falling behind 1-0 early in the first half, Wesley nodded the game up at one in the early part of the second half. Kaila Hindt played a penalty corner to Kasey Fry, who pushed it past the Neumann goalkeeper to tie the game up.
Neither team would be able to put a winner away in regulation. With 29 seconds left in the first overtime, Neumann's Chelsea Kulesza scored the game-winning goal to steal a win away from Wesley.
The Wolverines (5-9, 1-3 Atlantic East) will return to action on Thursday when they host Cabrini. The teams will push back at Drass Field at 7 p.m.
