Volleyball sweeps Centenary (N.J.)

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College volleyball took down the Centenary (N.J.) Cyclones in straight sets, 25-7, 25-13, 25-7, in non-conference action on Thursday.

As a team, Wesley hit .282 and put down nine service aces. In the third set, Wesley scored 12 consecutive points to end the match. During the 12-0 run, Elisa Hackendorn collected four service aces.

Nya Lightfoot led the Wesley offense with nine kills on 23 attempts. Mary Getty and Regan Healey recorded six kills apiece. Healey added four digs. Micah Wright registered four kills and two blocks.

Lindsay Burg was a dig away from a double-double, tallying 15 assists, nine digs, and three kills. Caelli Clifford dug out a game-high 12 attacks.

Wesley (10-11) will be back in action on Saturday for a tri-match at Cabrini University. Wesley will square off with Atlantic East foe, Cabrini at noon before facing Susquehanna in a non-conference tilt at 2 p.m.
