Clifford named to All-Tournament team at Greyhound Premiere

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Wesley College volleyball team opened the season over the weekend at the Moravian Greyhound Premiere Invitational.

Wesley dropped 3-0 decisions to the No. 21 ranked Swarthmore Garnet, Baldwin Wallace Yellowjackets and the Ursinus Bears. Wesley battled Alvernia for four sets but fell 3-1 to the Golden Wolves.

Sophomore libero Caelli Clifford was named to the All-Tournament team after collecting 88 digs in Wesley's four matches. Clifford also tallied five assists, four service aces and a pair of kills.

Regan Healey recorded 85 digs, 32 kills and five blocks. Mary Getty registered 20 kills and eight blocks while Elisa Hackendorn had 16 kills for Wesley.

Teaghen Vogelsang dished out 30 assists and Lindsay Burg chipped in with 27 assists and 23 digs.

On defense, Kaya Ziskay dug out 36 attacks on the back row.

Wesley will be back in action on Wednesday when they head to Chester. Pa. to take on the Widener Pride. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m.
