4x200m Relay Wins Heat in Record Time in Day 1 of ECAC Championship

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Wesley College's 4x200m relay team won its heat and set a school-record at the opening day at the ECAC Championships at the New Balance Track & Field Center Friday afternoon. The squad of sophomore Elizsha Streeter and freshmen Alexia Mitchell, Angel Hall and Quadira Minus finished ninth overall in 1:45.83, shaving nearly two seconds off the old record time set last season.

Mitchell also competed in the 60m Dash and placed 25th of 37 runners in 8.02 while freshman Ashley Morris took 16th of 24in the 60m hurdles in 9.47.

The Wolverines will compete tomorrow in Day 2 of the ECAC Championships with Streeter set to run the 200m and 400m Dash, along with the 4x400m Relay. Sophomore Kameko Webb will also compete in the long jump.
