Forsythe scores as women’s soccer drops first game of season to Albright

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College women's soccer dropped their first game of 2018 to the Albright Lions, 3-1 on Wednesday.

Albright's Kennedy Lutz scored two goals in the first half to put Wesley in an early 2-0 deficit. Wesley drew a foul right outside of the box in the 37th minute. Mackenzie Forsythe stepped up to take the free kick for Wesley. She bent her shot around the wall and buried the ball in the back of the net for Wesley's lone goal of the day.

Albright added a goal in the second half and kept Wesley scoreless in the final half of the game.

Isabelle Fabris saved 13 shots in net for Wesley. Emily Caldarelli put two shots on target while Brionna Olesky had one shot on goal.

The Wolverines (3-1) will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 19 when they head up to New York City to take on the Brooklyn Bulldogs. The game is set for 6 p.m.
