Women's Lacrosse ends Virginia trip with 18-1 win over Sweet Briar

SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Wesley College women's lacrosse team capped off their trip to Virginia with a dominating 18-1 win on Wednesday over the Sweet Briar Vixens.

Fallon Fore and Paige Brehm each notched six goals in the win. Brehm registered three assists, three caused turnovers, three ground balls and two draw controls. Fore scooped up five ground balls, won four draws, caused four turnovers and assisted on two or Brehm's goals.

Brianna Bacon notched three assists and a pair of goals. Bacon added four draw controls, three caused turnovers and two ground balls. Kassie Dieter dished out a game-best four assists and scored a first-half goal. Dieter also collected four ground balls.

Emily Caldarelli, Sarah Fryer and Kathleen Martin all tallied goals in the win. Caldarelli picked up six ground balls to tie the game-high.

Maria Rowland stopped two shots to earn her second win of the season.

As a team, Wesley combined for 12 assists to tie for the fourth-most assists in a single game in program history.

Victoria Lawson netted the lone goal for Sweet Briar.

Wesley (2-0) will return north to Dover to take on the Chatham Cougars on Saturday at 11 a.m.
