Schirmer stops 13 shots against No. 6 Mary Washington

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College women's lacrosse team were upended 20-3 at home to the sixth-ranked Mary Washington Eagles in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) action on Saturday.

Fallon Fore, Paige Brehm and Brianna Bacon all netted goals for the Wolverines. Brehm caused a pair of turnovers while Fore tallied three draw controls. Tiaziah Wright chipped in with an assist on Fore's second-half goal.

Shelby Schirmer stonewalled a season-best 13 shots against the Eagles. Schirmer also scooped up two ground balls.

On defense, Taylor Speicher and Alexis Galloway each notched two ground balls.

Micaela Quinn had a game-high four goals for the Eagles.

The Wolverines (5-3, 0-2 CAC) will hit the road Wednesday when they battle the fifth-ranked York (Pa.) Spartans. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
