Women’s Lacrosse pushes win streak to five in win over Lancaster Bible

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College women's lacrosse team throttled the Lancaster Bible Chargers, 18-4 on Saturday to push their season-opening win streak to five.

Wesley's five-game winning streak to start the season matches their program record for the longest winning streak and best start to a season, which was set a season ago.

Fallon Fore tallied six goals, six draw controls and four assists in the win. Paige Brehm netted five goals with four ground balls, two assists and two caused turnovers.

Bailey Grey and Brianna Bacon each collected two goals while Tiaziah Wright, Stacey O'Neale and Kathleen Martin recorded a goal apiece for the Wolverines.

Maddison Cypher assisted on three Wolverines goals.

Francesca Benitez and Alexis Galloway paced the Wesley defense with four caused turnovers. In net, Shelby Schirmer stopped six shots.

Kaitlyn Myers and Myranda Kemrer each had two goals for Lancaster Bible.

At halftime, the Wolverines honored returning alumni to celebrate the program's first game 19 years ago.

The Wolverines (5-0) will look to extend their win streak when they hit the road to take on the Delaware Valley Aggies on Saturday, March 24. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
