Women’s Lacrosse Falls at #10 York (Pa.)

YORK, Pa. – Wesley College's women's lacrosse team fell to No. 10 York (Pa.), 19-2 in CAC action on Saturday afternoon at Kinsley Field.  The Wolverines now stand at 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the league while the Spartans improve to 6-2 on the year and 1-1 in the CAC.

York scored the game's first goal just 35 seconds in and went on top 6-0 before Rylee Gould put Wesley on the board with a free position tally with 23:50 left in the half. The Spartans then ran off eight-straight to close the half and the first five of the second before Gould's unassisted tally with just over five minutes left in regulation.

Kaitlin Brennan led the Wolverines with two ground balls and a caused turnover while goalkeeper Katherine Cooke stopped five shots.

The Spartans were led Brittany Noell's four goals. Katelyn Cattrano added two goals and three assists.

Wesley returns to action on March 25 when they travel just down the road to take on Division I Delaware State in a 4 pm draw.
