Women’s Basketball upended by Immaculata in Atlantic East action

IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Wesley College women's basketball team stumbled on the road to the Immaculata Mighty Macs, 60-40 in an Atlantic East Conference contest on Saturday.

Angelique Gathers collected a team-high 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field. She added four rebounds and three steals off the bench,

Monshea Newsome-Murray tallied 10 points along with six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Shelby Johnson pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and chipped in with six points. Katelyn Watson tallied five points while Lekeshia Brown-Myrick and Jameshia Baker recorded four and three points respectively.

Theresa Kearney and Amber Ballinger each had 18 points to lead the way for Immaculata.

Wesley will step out of Atlantic East action for a game on Wednesday against the Trinity (D.C.) Tigers. The game is set for a 7 p.m. tip.
