Hailstock, O’Neale record double-digits as women’s basketball stumbles at home to Frostburg

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College women's basketball dropped a 52-41 decision at home to the Frostburg St. Bobcats in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) action on Saturday.

The Wolverines were led by the efforts of Stacey O'Neale and Paige Hailstock, who tallied 12 points and 10 points respectively. O'Neale hit four three-pointers while Hailstock was 4-of-8 from the field and 2-of-6 from 3-point land.

Shelby Johnson pulled down a team-high 13 rebounds and took the ball away from the Bobcats three times. It was Johnson's fifth 10-plus rebound game of the season and her fourth in the last five games.

Monshea Newsome-Murray notched nine points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals. Tiyanna Gibbs reeled in seven rebounds and assisted on two baskets.

Sydney Stotler recorded a double-double for the Bobcats. Stotler hauled in 17 rebounds and scored 14 points.

The Wolverines will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 17 when they travel down to Salisbury to take on Route 13 rival, the Salisbury Sea Gulls. Tip-off of the CAC game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
