ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Wesley College men's track and field team showed well against Division I and II opponents at the Navy Spring Invitational on Saturday.
Wesley had three first place performances at the meet. Thomas Kalieta Jr. picked up a win in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.33 seconds, nearly a full second faster than the second-place time. Kaileta then teamed up with TySean Cousar, Dominic McAnulty and Jordan Dillard to win the 4x400-meter relay with a first place time of 3:21.42. Tre' Johnson picked up a win in the triple jump with a mark of 14.34 meters (47-0.75).
Christian Saulsbury placed third in the 100-meter dash (10.72) and was a part of the third place 4x100-meter relay team with Greg Taylor, John Heriot and Myles Toppin. The relay clocked in at 43.08 seconds. Toppin placed second in the triple jump, registering a leap of 13.28 meters (43-7) and eighth in the 110 hurdles (15.83). Heriot finished fifth in the 200 (22.11) and eighth in the 100 (10.88).
Roland Attoh-Okine turned in a third-place performance in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.53 seconds. Javonte Freeman tallied a pair of seventh-place times in the 110- (15.63) and 400-meter hurdles (1:00.48).
Anthony Anastasi finished the 3000-meter steeplechase in eighth with a time of 10.41.99.
The Wolverines will be back in action on Saturday, April 7 when they take part in the Oscar Moore Invitational, hosted by Rowan University.
