Men’s Soccer draws even with Neumann

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw with the Neumann Knights on Saturday.

Both sides went back-and-forth creating chances to get their team on the board.

Chimaobi Ikwuagwu, Kevin Flores-Gomez, Deekai Gbonimy, Danny Garza, Darius-David Robinson and Nicholas Roop all registered multiple shots in an attempt to put one past the Knights goalkeeper.

One of the best Wolverine chances on the night came in the first overtime period. Robinson received the ball off a failed Knights clearance, cut the ball back and ripped a shot just over the crossbar.

Defensively, Kyle Springsteen notched six saves in net to preserve the clean sheet.

The Wolverines (8-3-1,0-1-1 Atlantic East ) are back in action Wednesday Oct. 10, when they travel to Gwynedd Valley, Pa. to do battle with the Gywnedd Mercy Griffins in Atlantic East play. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
