Men’s Soccer fights hard against No. 24 Mary Washington

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's soccer team plays tough against No. 24 ranked Mary Washington, dropping a 1-0 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) decision at home.

After conceding the early goal from Mary Washington by Justin Caray in the third minute, the Wolverines battled with the nationally-ranked Eagles. The Wolverines had many close shots in the game, including an Andrea Carboni shot in the first half that the Eagle goalkeeper had to scramble back to prevent from trickling into the goal.

J.P. Amougou registered two shots while Danny Garza and John Vasquez each recorded a shot for the Wolverines.

Spearheading the defensive side for Wesley was goalkeeper Kyle Springsteen, who tallied seven saves between the pipes.

The Wolverines will wrap up their home schedule on Wednesday when they host the York (Pa.) Spartans. The CAC clash is scheduled for 7 p.m. Prior to the game, the Wolverines will honor their four seniors.
