Men’s Soccer falls in overtime to Cairn

LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Wesley College men's soccer dropped a close 1-0 decision in overtime to the Cairn Highlanders Saturday afternoon,

It was a defensive struggle between the Wolverines and the Highlanders for the first 90 minutes of the game. In the 96th minute, Cairn's Dorman Brady played a ball into the box and found Brendan Keller who squeaked a shot past Wesley's Kyle Springsteen for the game-winner.

Luis Cruz recorded two shots on goal while Cristian Chavez, Darren Lewis and Jaki Farlow each tallied a shot on target in the loss.

Cairn held a narrow 6-5 advantage over Wesley in shots on goal. Springsteen made five saves in net for the Wolverines.

The Wolverines will be back at the friendly confines of Drass Field at Scott D. Miller Stadium on Tuesday, Sept. 19 when they host the Washington Shoremen. The action is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
