Men’s Lacrosse drops season opener to Wilkes

EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team opened their 2019 season on the road against the Wilkes Colonels and fell short 19-7 on Saturday.

Adam Tewey recorded a team-high three goals for his first career hattrick. Zach Farnell scored two goals of his own in the loss. Leo Kelly and Kyle Mackall-Lloyd also netted a goal for Wesley.

On defense, Jack Guzman and Dylan Sicca scooped up a team-high five ground balls each. Sicca also registered six saves during his time in net. Nick Bruhn and Logan Wilson each caused two turnovers.

Luke Palladino led Wilkes with a game-high four goals.

 

Wesley (0-1) has their home opener Saturday, Mar. 2 when they square off against the Rosemont Ravens. Faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
