Goucher downs men’s lacrosse

TOWSON, Md. – The Wesley College men's lacrosse team fell on the road 14-6 to the Goucher Gophers on Wednesday. 

Joe Fingles netted two goals for the Wolverines. Josh Wassum notched a goal with three assists and three ground balls. Zach Farnell, Leo Kelly and Chris Smith each tallied a goal in the loss.

Joshua Short scooped up four ground balls and caused three turnovers on defense. Mitch Griffith picked up four ground balls. 

James Cella stopped eight shots in 36 minutes in net while Dylan Sicca recorded three saves in his first collegiate action in goal in the loss. 

Zephan Harnish had five goals and two assists for the Gophers.

The Wolverines will return to action next Wednesday when they take on the Hood Blazers. The road non-conference contest is set for 3:30 p.m.
