Men’s Basketball falls in opening day of Shrine Tournament to Saint Vincent

MARIETTA, Ohio – The Wesley College men's basketball team dropped their opening game of the two-day Marietta College Shrine Tournament on Friday to the Saint Vincent Bearcats, 81-67.

Brian Cameron led all scorers with 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting. He knocked down four three-pointers and added a pair of free throws. Cameron also pulled down a team-high six boards along with two steals and two assists.

Evan Anderson and Tyrone Craven each tallied 13 points respectively. Craven dished out a team-high seven assists and added four rebounds and two steals.

Terrence Braxton chipped in with seven points and three rebounds off the bench. Brandon Lewis collected five rebounds in the loss.

David Stephen had 23 points to lead Saint Vincent.

Wesley (0-2) will take on the loser of the La Roche/Marietta game in the consolation finals of the Shrine Tournament on Saturday at 5 p.m.
