Five players reach double figures in 88-78 win over CCNY

NEW YORK – The Wesley College men's basketball team wrapped up 2017 with an 88-78 victory over the City College of New York Beavers on Saturday. 

Five players reached double-digit point totals in the win for Wesley. Brian Cameron led the Wolverines with 22 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including hitting three 3-pointers and going 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. Cameron also pulled down six boards and dished out a team-high five assists.

Paul Clemons was a rebound away from a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Clemons also stole the ball four times. Evan Anderson netted 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

JW Lawson recorded 14 points and seven rebounds while Mychal Stefanides chipped in with 11 points, three assists and three rebounds. 

Brandon Lewis reeled in a game-high 10 rebounds while picking up six points. George Cook handed out five assists off the bench.

James White led all scorers with 24 points.

The Wolverines will resume conference play when they head down to Fredericksburg, Va. to take on the Mary Washington Eagles on Wed., Jan. 3. Game time is scheduled for 8 p.m.
