Field Hockey battles with No. 7 Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wesley College field hockey team dropped a 4-0 non-conference decision to the seventh-ranked Salisbury Sea Gulls on Wednesday.

Lauren Berry set a new career-high in saves with 14 stops in 62 minutes in the net. Berry bettered her previous career-high saves total of 12 set on Sept. 21 against Eastern Mennonite and matched on Sept 23 against Shenandoah. Bridget Wood played the final eight minutes of the game in goal and recorded a save.

Kaila Hindt and Kasey Fry each registered a shot for the Wolverines. Hindt's shot in the 68th minute was saved by Salisbury's Caitlin Harris.

Wesley (5-7, 1-0 Atlantic East) will resume Atlantic East Conference play on Saturday when they travel north to Gwynedd Valley, Pa. to take on the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins in the first-ever Atlantic East Game of the Week. The matchup is slated for a 3 p.m. start.
