Bishop scores late against Washington

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College field hockey team were upended by the Washington Shorewomen, 4-1 on Thursday under the lights at Drass Field at Scott D. Miller Stadium.

Brittany Bishop spoiled the Shorewomen shutout attempt when she put a goal past Washington's Morgan Domanico with 14 seconds remaining in the game.

Rebecca Dvorak tallied Wesley's other shot on goal late in the first half. Emily Wagner and Alexis Howerin each recorded a defensive save for the Wolverines.

Sidney Knott made three saves in net. Lauren Berry also registered a save for Wesley.

Nicole Schroyer led the Shorewomen with a goal and an assist.

The Wolverines will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 12 when they travel up to Galloway, N.J. to take on the Stockton Ospreys. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
